The monthly flag raising ceremony is a way for our local veteran’s and their families to honor departed veterans and fallen service members. The ceremony serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who have defended the country and its freedoms.

This month the Flag-Raising Ceremony is in Honor of Drew G. Jones III, Major, U.S. Army.

The JVC will also honor the two West Virginia National Guard members who were recently shot in Washington DC. U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, Martinsburg, West Virginia who is in hospital in critical condition and U.S. Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, Webster Springs, West Virginia who passed away as a result of the shooting.
